SurfAid’s next installment of Board Art Benefit will be held at the Driftwood Salon in San Francisco on June 9th from 6-10pm. This will be a one night only event. New shapers and artists have been added to the already stellar lineup and this showing promises to be one to remember. Kona Brewing is once again keeping guests’ thirst quenched and ear drums will dance to the musical stylings of Humboldt County’s Likwefi.
Its a California thing. You wake up somewhere in Tahoe, hit the slopes, and then book it to the coast and paddle out. Signal and Doc Lausch hooked up to make a custom board that can pull off both.

This year's pipeline contest, the traditional final event in the ASP world tour, will be a victory lap for Kelly Slater, who secured his 10th world title in Puerto Rico this past week, mathematically eliminating Jordy Smith with a quarter-final victory by scoring two near-perfect 10's.
The unprecedented accomplishment for Slater arrives in the shadow of Andy Irons' unexpected passing. Slater and Irons met numerous times in spirited head to head competition over the years. "I just want to send my condolences to Andy's family, I'm a little overwhelmed right now but I want to dedicate this to Andy," Slater said. "It's like exact opposites.
