Artem Dovbyk has been a revelation at Girona this summer. Arriving from Dnipro-1 during the 2023 summer transfer window, the Ukrainian striker has been in outstanding form. In his debut season in Spanish football, he leads the way in the race for the Pichichi Trophy, having scored 20 times in La Liga.

Dovbyk has been one of the main contributors towards Girona’s Champions League qualification, although there is a chance that he does not play in the competition with the Catalan side next season – that’s because offers will be heard for him during the summer, as reported by Relevo.

Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan are all keeping a close eye on Dovbyk ahead of the transfer window opening, and if they are to sign him, Girona would demand a fee of €40m – which if received, would represent an almost 600% turnover from last summer, when he signed for approximately €7m.

Losing Dovbyk would be a big blow for Girona, although it does make sense to cash in while his value is high. They would fancy their chances of replacing him sufficiently at a fraction of the price received, in the event of a summer sale.
